Travis Hunter is an author, songwriter and father. Hunter is a native of Florence, S.C. He was also reared in Philadelphia, Pa. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he attended Clark Atlanta University and subsequently enrolled in Georgia State University where he majored in Psychology. The Hearts of Men was self-published in 2000 by Hunter's own company, Jimrose Publishing House.
